UK Youth has opened applications to its UK Youth Fund in partnership with Pears Foundation, offering multi-year unrestricted grants to youth organisations operating in areas of high deprivation across the UK.
The £10 million fund is intended to strengthen the financial resilience and organisational capacity of small youth and outdoor learning organisations. A total of £10 million is available nationally. Grants are provided over three years and are set at approximately 10% of an applicants current annual turnover per year. For example, and orgnaisational with a turnover of £250,000 may apply for up to £25,000 a year.
Applications are open to charitable and not-for-profit youth organisations that have been operating for at least two years and have an annual turnover of £500,000 or less. At least 70% of beneficiaries must be aged between eight and 25.
Funding is unrestricted and may be used for core costs, staffing, delivery or organisational development linked to frontline youth work. Eligibility is based on the communities served. Activity must support young people living in local authority areas ranked within the top three deciles of the Index of Multiple deprivation.
