with those who may be affected – and that’s where VAC’s Engagement programmes can help.
Voluntary Action Calderdale currently run two local Engagement Programmes:

Quality 4 Health + Wellbeing is the accreditation for any group or organisation delivering or looking to deliver health and wellbeing services. This external verification of service delivery demonstrates to social prescribers,
funders and people using services that your organisation delivers to a high standard and follows best practice.
Multiple levels ensure it is reasonable, practicable and proportionate for all sizes of organisations; from small community based groups to larger established organisations.
Our world is changing rapidly and Quality 4 Health + Wellbeing is here to enable the Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise Sector to become integral to local provision for the benefit of local people.
Quality 4 Health + Wellbeing has its own website with more information about the accreditation: www.qualityforhealth.org.uk.
Calipso is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) that will tender for and manage public sector contracts on behalf of consortia of local voluntary and community organisations. It has been set up to enable Calderdale’s voluntary and community sector to respond to the emerging preference on the part of local commissioners to have fewer or single contracts with a consortia /supply chain of providers.
Organisations can request a copy of the Calipso prospectus to help them decide if membership is the right thing for them. The prospectus gives insight into why Calipso was formed. Copies of the prospectus can be requested via email on firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01422 348777 or leave us your message below:
In a nutshell, Time 2gether is about matching local people to local people. It’s introducing older people to like-minded volunteers who share similar hobbies and interests.
But that’s not all.
Time 2gether also encourages wider connections, brand new passions or long lost ones and a sense of being part of your community.
Being a volunteer for Time 2gether is pretty easy… the main requirement is being yourself!
The matching process is based on common interests so both parties benefit.
But that’s not all.
Time 2gether volunteers will support people to step out of comfort zones at their own pace leading to new and enriching experiences together.
Individuals interested in being matched can be referred or contact Time 2gether on 01422 348777 or use the contact form.
