Voluntary and Community (VAC) are pleased to announce they have successfully become a certified member of the West Yorkshire Fair Work Charter.
This recognition celebrates employers from all sectors across the county that are dedicated to promoting a positive workplace environment by adopting fair work practices that benefit both employees and organisations.
The charter focuses on five key pillars:
- Opportunity
- Wellbeing
- Employee Voice
- Fulfilment
- Security
By addressing these areas, members of the Charter are encouraged to continuously enhance workplace conditions, providing employees with the best possible career experiences.
VAC CEO Julie Robinson commented on the achievement:
“I am thrilled that VAC has been recognised as a fair work employer. It demonstrates our commitment to our current and future employees which aligns with our values.
We are dedicated to the way we work and support our team ensuring everyone is treated equally. VAC is a great place to work and the Fair Work Charter further solidifies this.”
Registering your business or organisation is simple, you’ll receive a short self-assessment questionnaire to help you evaluate your current practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
Once certified, organisations are given further support to implement the fair work initiative and connect with other like-minded employers committed to fair work through the growing peer network.
