VAC (Voluntary & Community) has successfully secured £50,000 from the NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) to be distributed across Calderdale through the Community Foundation for Calderdale: Harnessing the Power of Communities Fund.
The fund is aimed at supporting those across the borough with disabilities, who may have difficulty accessing suitable health services and advice groups, with the overall aim of reducing health inequalities and improving the lives of those in our community.
Julie Robinson, CEO of VAC stated: “The VAC staff team and the wider VSI Alliance work incredibly hard to promote and support the diverse work our voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector does here in Calderdale, particularly with individuals who are experiencing health inequalities…
I want to express thanks to the Community Foundation for adding additional administration funding and assisting us with the grants. It is testimony to the value of the sector that West Yorkshire ICB has recognised the need for investment in our sector and I would encourage eligible groups and organisations to apply.”
