For Local Businesses
The B2P Connect Project helps businesses connect with local VCSE organisations to find meaningful, flexible volunteering opportunities that benefit staff, businesses, and the wider community.
B2P Connect can support in two ways:
Group volunteering enables teams from your business to spend time supporting a local charity or community group. Opportunities are flexible – from one hour to a full day – and can be tailored to meet your goals.
Benefits include:
- Strengthened teamwork and staff morale
- Improved communication and collaboration
- Positive community engagement and visibility
- We’ll work with you to find the right opportunity for your team based on location, interests, skills, and availability
Many businesses support individual volunteering during working hours. Employees can volunteer alone or in small groups, using their skills to help community organisations while gaining personal and professional benefits.
Benefits include:
- Improved employee wellbeing and job satisfaction
- Skill development in leadership, project management, and communication
- Stronger staff retention
For VCSE Organisations
The B2P Connect Project supports VCSE organisations by linking them with local businesses.
We help source individual and group volunteers and build long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
B2P Connect are looking for two types of volunteering:
Businesses are interested in group volunteering as part of team away days or staff development. These can range from an hour to a full day (typically 10am–4pm), and include:
- Indoor or outdoor tasks
- Office-based or community-facing roles
- Physical or non-physical activities
If your organisation can host a team for a few hours or a day, we would like to hear from you. Even one-off or short-term opportunities are welcome, especially with around a month’s notice.
Many businesses allow employees one or two paid days per year to volunteer. We’re building a directory of opportunities where an individual could support your organisation. This might include:
- Admin or back-office support
- Projects that may only need a day (e.g. office sort out)
- Skills-based volunteering (e.g. finance, marketing, IT)
- Support during events or community engagement activities
Business Benefits
- Enhanced reputation and community engagement
- Staff development and leadership opportunities
- Improved employee wellbeing and morale
- Meeting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) or Social Value targets
Additional Support
We can also provide:
- Bespoke group volunteering days
- A wide range of ESV opportunities
- Guidance on developing or improving your ESV policy
- Staff engagement sessions
- Partnership development and brokerage
