Calderdale Citizen’s Advice are inviting you to submit referrals to their Refurbished Device Scheme, which provides free laptops to adults in Calderdale who are digitally excluded and need a device to access essential services, search for work, or get online.
This scheme, delivered with Citizens Advice Calderdale as part of the National Device Bank, aims to remove barriers to digital inclusion by ensuring people have access to suitable technology.
Who can be referred?
Individuals must:
- Live in Calderdale.
- Be aged 18+.
- Be on a low income (e.g. low wages, benefits, pension credit, or no recourse to public funds).
- Need a device for their own use.
- Be able to attend an appointment to collect the device.
- Consent to sharing their details for assessment.
Please note:
- Referrals must come from registered organisations (not individuals).
- Eligibility will be means-tested, and proof of income and address will be required.
How it works
- You complete the referral form.
- Citizens Advice contacts the individual to assess eligibility.
- If approved, an appointment is arranged.
- The individual collects their refurbished device and receives guidance.
- Devices are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis while stocks last.
If you’re supporting someone who would benefit, please complete the Refurbished Device Referral Form.
