Audible is offering grants of up to £15,000 for projects and activities across Yorkshire and the Humber regions that help unlock the potential of underprivileged 12 to 18 year old’s from historically marginalised communities.
Through the Future Stories Fund, grassroots organisations with an annual income of £250,000 or less per year can deliver activities that:
- Serve young people aged 12-18 (11 year old’s can also participate, if they are in secondary school).
- Engage youth from underrepresented communities (e.g., racial and/or ethnic minority, gender, disability, neurodivergence, LGBTQIA+, low-income).
- Embed storytelling at its core, within project design and delivery.
- Demonstrate an innovative approach to using storytelling to ignite imagination and build skills.
Proposed projects should help youth to:
- Grow imaginations and creativity through story telling and self-expression so they can share their voice and shape their own narratives.
- Build the confidence and self-belief to pursue any path of their choosing.
- Develop and strengthen key skills such as communication, literacy, collaboration, critical thinking, and audio literacy that they can carry to any aspect of their lives.
- Broaden horizons through exposure to new environments, opportunities, and networks.
- Encourage experimentation and curiosity, giving them the chance to try new ways to craft and share stories.
Funding must be used to deliver a time-bound project beginning within 6 months of receiving the grant and completed within 12 months of receiving the grant. The project must start by February 2027 and be completed by July 2027.
The deadline for applications is 17th May 2026
