St Augustine’s are looking for a new Trustee Treasurer.
This role is voluntary so there will be no salary, although expenses are paid to cover transport and childcare as required.
There are 4 Board meeting per year that you will join, they are in person but if people cant make it then they can join online. Each meeting lasts 2 hours and you need to rad the ‘papers’ before each meeting so you are prepared, which will take another hour or so per meeting. Support will be given to people whose first language isn’t English. Board meetings tend to be around 5pm on a Monday afternoon, 4 times a year,
St Augustine’s also ask trustees to be on at least one of their Board sub-groups linked to your interest and experience. Sub-groups also meet 4x a year for an hour to hour and a half. Each one involves a small number of staff and trustees.
They roughly ask for about 8 hours of your time a month. Beyond this, it is largely down to the individual how much time they want to give. Some of their Trustees are retired, others work full-time and some are full-time parents, so each person gives what they can.
Send no more than 2 pages outlining why you want to become Trustee Treasurer and what appropriate skills, experience and qualifications you have to Sean McGonigle, Co-Chair, St. Augustine’s Centre, Hanson Lane, Halifax, HX1 5PG.
Informal interviews will take place at St Augustine’s Centre.
If you have any questions or would like an informal chat, please call either of their Co-Chairs Jess or Sean: Jess on 07720 891550 / jess@staugustinescentrehalifax.org.uk or Sean on 0781 3830884 / Sean@staugustinescentrehalifax.org.uk
