As part of the NHS Winter Pressures Campaign, Voluntary & Community (VAC) is delighted to be distributing Winter Care Packages for the sixth consecutive year.
Shaped by feedback from local organisations, this year’s packs are our biggest and most comprehensive yet, featuring 10 practical items to support frail and vulnerable people over winter, alongside the 2027 edition of the VCSE Directory.
The packs are available free of charge to Calderdale organisations and are intended for distribution to service users who may benefit from additional support over the winter period.
In return, we ask organisations to help promote key NHS winter health messages by:
- Having conversations with service users about staying well this winter.
- Sharing campaign information through social media, newsletters and other communication channels.
- Completing a short online evaluation form at the end of the project to help shape future initiatives.
To support your promotion of the campaign, a media and communications toolkit will be provided.
Important Information
When collecting your order from VAC, the packs will not be individually assembled, and organisations will be responsible for packing them before distribution.
If you require assistance with packing the items, we can signpost you to volunteer support.
