Help Shape Mental Health Services for Children & Young People in Calderdale

Northpoint want to hear from you!

They are working with children, young people, families, schools and community groups to understand:

  • What makes it hard for young people to access mental health support
  • Which young people are missing out on services
  • What services can do differenly
  • How they can make support more welcoming, fair and accessible to all

Why is This Important?

Some young people face barriers when trying to get help. These barriers might include:

  • Language or communication difficulties
  • Disability or additional needs
  • Poverty or financial presuures
  • Transport and travel challenges
  • Lack of information about available support
  • Previous negative experiences of services

By listening to local communities, they can help improve services for children and young people across Calderdale.

How Can You Help?

If you work with children, young people families, please help by:

  • Sharing information about this project
  • Introducing Northpoint to groups or communities
  • Telling them about gaps in services
  • Sharing ideas about improving access
  • Supporting young people to get involved
