Julie Robinson, VAC CEO responds:
“We are encouraged by the recent findings from the Charity Commission, which reveal public trust in charities is at its highest in ten years. This is a testament to the dedication of our sector in high-quality, purpose-driven action.
However, the increased reliance on charitable services amidst a challenging financial environment reminds us of the critical support role the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Sector play in Calderdale. As we move forward, it is vital that we continue to demonstrate the impact and efficiency of every pound invested in the Calderdale VCSE Sector, ensuring that we maintain and build on this trust.
VAC and its partnership in the VSI Alliance remain committed to supporting our local VCSE organisations in navigating these challenges and ensuring they can continue to serve our communities effectively.”
