Small Grants Available to Make a Difference in Our Communities

Staying Well are pleased to share that they have the opportunity to help charities, community groups and projects, by applying for small grants of £500 for causes that matter. This is an opportunity to support your local communities, responding to their specific needs by funding initiatives that don’t necessarily have to be on the railways.

They are looking for organisations and community groups that don’t benefit from some of their other funding streams, so on this occasion they wont be accepting projects linked to the Community Rail Partnerships or Station Adoption Groups they work with. Applications should be from, or on behalf of organisations that exist for the good of the community.

This includes, but may not be limited to:

  • Registered charities
  • Non-profit community enterprises
  • Sports clubs (excluding professional clubs)
  • Unregistered groups run by volunteers that provide a service to their local community or a specific group in need
  • School, colleges or early years education settings

Please note that we can’t accept applications that would generate a commercial return or are of a political/religious nature.

To apply go to: https://bit.ly/smallgrants25

The deadline for applications is Sunday 23 January 2026 after which a group of colleagues from the Northern Crowd will review and allocate the grants.
