Phoenix Men’s Shed Grand Official Opening

Phoenix Men’s Shed would like to invite you, or your representative, to their Shed’s Offical opening.

Date: 23rd July 2025

Time: 10am

Location: Phoenix Men’s Shed, Halifax Shaw Lane, HX3 9ET

If you can attend, please aim to arrive between 9am and 9:45am.

There is ample parking in the car park close by. If you need a disabled space or have difficulty using steps and walking back up the hill, they have a few spaces close to the shed; please let them know.

The Shed started life at Threeways Centre, Ovenden in 2015. Following the closure of the Centre, they found refuge in St. George’s House in Lee Mount before eventually moving into Shadow Lodge Mill in June 2024.

Their volunteer members and friends helped fit out the Shed, and their doors opened in November 2024.

Phoenix Men’s Shed was granted charity status in December 2024. They are now settled with a growing membership and look forward to inviting guests to join them on a guided tour of their newly refurbished Shed and work area in this wonderful historic mill.

Every member of VAC will be invited to our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and has voting rights for resolutions and proposals either in person or by proxy.

The online dashboard will keep you and your colleagues up to date on the latest member opportunities, training and news.

The Member Area also has a forum function, allowing VAC Member organisations to interact and support each other.

A quarterly newsletter to keep our members up to date on not only VAC Membership updates and opportunities but also specifically created content on topics of interest to the local voluntary, community and social enterprise sector. 

The Bimonthly Member Network is for VAC Members to connect with other VAC Members!

A perfect opportunity to support one another, find out about other local services and explore new collaborative opportunities and partnerships with fellow VAC members.
