NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (NHS WY ICB) are working with partners to ask local people and communities, partners and stakeholders to come forward to share their views on the NHS 10-Year Health Plan to help influence how health and care services should be delivered to them locally, across West Yorkshire and nationally.

It is recognised that NHS staff are working harder than ever to get services back on track, to get waiting lists down and consistently deliver the best care, and that many of the solutions we need are already here, working somewhere in the NHS today.

Whether you have a little to say or a lot, your views, experiences, and ideas will shape the immediate steps and long-term changes through the 10-Year Health Plan for the NHS and locally in West Yorkshire.

The NHS WY ICB want to not only hear from our people and communities directly, but if you are a partner organisation, stakeholder or you lead a forum or group in West Yorkshire, they want to support you to capture these views to feed into the 10-year health plan conversations. NHS WY ICB want to ensure that all their local people and communities, partners and stakeholders can comment on the 10-year plan.

Here’s how you do this:

Ways you can get involved

  • Fill out the 10-year health plan survey here NHS 10 Year Plan Survey – Your feedback
  • Come along to the series of workshops due to take place in early 2025. More information on these workshops is on its way.
  • You can also share a suggestion for what needs to change across the health and care system here Your ideas for change

These could be:

  • Ideas about how the NHS could change to deliver high-quality care more effectively and what works well that the NHS should do more
  • Ideas about how other parts of the health and care system and other organisations in society could change to promote better health and/or improve the way health and care services work together
  • Ideas about how individuals and communities could do things differently in future to improve people’s health.

If you need any help sharing your views, or would like information in an alternative format, please call 01924 317 659 or email: wyicb.wycommsand.involvement@nhs.net

Any feedback they collect will be used to help them plan services in West Yorkshire. NHS WY ICB will share your thoughts and feedback anonymously with the Government to help them with their 10-year health plan. This will be done by the deadline of 14 February 2025. NHS WY ICB want to continue to hear from people locally after that time, so they plan to keep collecting your feedback until 1 June 2025.

If you would like to be kept up-to-date with our work on the 10-Year plan, and new ways of involving people, please leave your contact details here NHS 10 Year Plan – Interest
