Funding Deadline

This year the NHS locally is asking for support from the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector to help ensure that key messages are reaching these target groups in the Central and North Halifax Neighbourhood areas.

  • Young Adults (17-25 years)
  • Families with children (0-16 years)

Winter can be challenging for the NHS, especially for urgent and emergency services. Your engagement with these target groups will support people to access to the right advice this winter to make sure they are getting the right help at the right time.

The focus of the messaging will be to raise awareness amongst these target groups of:

  • The advice and services offered by local community pharmacies, encouraging their use and in turn demand away from GP practices and A&E for minor health concerns.
  • The talking therapy services, known as IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) that are provided by Vita Health Group in Calderdale working in partnership with the NHS.

If you are a group that engages and supports young adults and families in Central Halifax and/or North Halifax and you would like to take part in this paid engagement opportunity we are inviting you to join the online briefing to be held on:

Time: 10am

Date: Thursday 24th October 24th 2024

Online via Zoom

As a group that supports these target groups, we know that you will have lots of experience, knowledge and ideas about the most appropriate and effective methods and activities to engage with them around these key messages. Please bring your thoughts and ideas to the briefing session.

The sessions will offer and an opportunity to find out more about this paid opportunity and talk about ideas for engagement activities with other groups interested in getting involved.

Please note even if you have taken part in previous winter messaging opportunities we would like everybody to attend the briefing sessions so everyone understands the ask for this years messaging.

If you work with target groups, would like to be involved and can attend the briefing on the 24th October, please book your place using Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/calderdale-winter-messaging-briefing-tickets-1049463532677?aff=oddtdtcreator

Or confirm you attendance by emailing : engagement@cvac.org.uk
