CRB Service

We are pleased to announce that we can now carry out CRB checks right across the Borough at our Volunteer Centre drop-ins.

Elland Library, Mondays 10 am-12.00 noon

Hebden Bridge Salem Community Centre Tuesdays 10am – 1pm

Todmorden Social Car Service (opp Town Hall) Thursdays 10am - 1pm

Sowerby Bridge Library, Wednesdays 11 am -1pm

Appointments are required at these venues so please call

If these times and venues are unsuitable then please call us on

and ask for Tracy McWhire, who will arrange an appoinment for your check at the Resource Centre, Hall Street, at a mutually convenient time.

When attending an appointment for a CRB check please ensure you have the correct ID to process your form as shown in this guidance on page 2:

The charges for non-profit making groups for this service are as follows:

Volunteers - Standard Disclosure: no charge
Volunteers - Enhanced Disclosure: no charge
Paid staff - Standard Disclosure: £26.00
Paid Staff - Enhanced Disclosure: £36.00

(these are fees levied by CRB)

Private (profit-making) companies, will be charged an additional administration fee,in addition to the CRB charges shown above:

Attendance for a CRB check at the Resource Centre = £7.00 per person

Attendance at your premises = £10.00 per person.

Cheques should be made payable to 'Voluntary Action Calderdale'

 

The CRB advises that a Standard Disclosure will take approximately 2 weeks and an Enhanced Disclosure will take approximately 4 weeks.
