LAUNCH OF CRB SERVICE

Voluntary Action Calderdale is pleased to announce that, thanks to funding from Calderdale MBC, it is now a Registered Umbrella Body with the CRB and able to offer a FREE Disclosure Service.

Application forms and guidance notes can be requested from Amanda Kent at the VA-C Resource Centre, Hall Street, Halifax, Tel: 01422 348777. It would be helpful if you could let us know whether the forms are required for volunteers or paid staff.

The individual making the application needs to make an appointment to return their completed form in person, bringing their evidence of ID with them. To make an appointment, phone Amanda on 01422 348777. The service will be provided on:

Tuesdays 1.30 - 4.30
Thursdays 9.00 - 12.00
(it’s anticipated each appointment will take 15 mins),

The CRB charges are as follows:
Volunteers - Standard Disclosure: no charge
Volunteers - Enhanced Disclosure: no charge
Paid staff - Standard Disclosure: £31.00
Paid Staff - Enhanced Disclosure: £36.00

As VA-C has set up an account with the CRB, your cheques should be made out to ‘Voluntary Action Calderdale’.

The CRB advises that a Standard Disclosure will take approximately 2 weeks and an Enhanced Disclosure will take approximately 4 weeks.
