The Centre also runs specific projects targeting:

  • volunteers who are Refugees / Asylum Seekers (EASV – Enabling Asylum Seeker Volunteering).
  • and those interested in supporting others to volunteer (CHOICE):

Additional Support Needs (ASN) The Volunteer Centre is committed to making volunteering accessible to people of all abilities and backgrounds and to removing barriers that prevent that happening. To assist volunteers who need support in order to volunteer, we provide the services of a dedicated support worker, offering such help as;-

      • Pre-volunteering assessment
      • Information and advice on suitable placements
      • One to one tailored support
      • Close collaboration with other support agencies (if agreed)
      • Help to learn new skills and/or access training

If you lack confidence, have a disability or have been unemployed for some time then supported volunteering might be the answer for you.
