The Halifax Neighbourhood Scheme was a pilot project funded via POPPs (Partnerships for Older Peoples Projects) aimed at improving the Health and Wellbeing of people over 50 in Calderdale; during 2007 - 2009.

 

The pilot scheme was co-ordinated by Voluntary Action Calderdale. It finished on June 30th 2009.

 

The project won an award; coming 2nd Nationally in the Local Goverment Awards for Community Development.

 

From July 2009

IN TOUCH - a new Community Group will be managing the scheme and continuing to run its activies in Halifax.
